Drake ends the year with one more banger!
I think it’s safe to say that most of us as children loved snapping Lego Bricks together creating God knows what, and as adults Lego knows how to keep the fun going. Their latest installment in the Architecture Landmark Series features the world-famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, which I am sure will provide hours of fun/frustration. You can pick this up and start snapping them bricks next month!
It’s that time again! I don’t care what anyone has to say, but “Girls” on HBO is one of the best shows on television!!! On January 10th season 3 premieres with back to back new episodes! Please believe I will be watching.
It’s safe to say that “How I Rock It” on the Esquire Network hosted by Baron Davis one of the best ball handlers in NBA history, has become one of my favorite shows. It gives the viewer a behind the scenes look at some of the most influential creatives in the game, and what inspires them. Which is fuggin awesome and makes for some great entertainment! Above is a clip of legendary photographer Jonathan Mannion doing what he does best. Enjoy!
Are you ready for the “Red October” in December!!!! In a few days they will be dropping via footlocker.com at 8am on December 27th! My computer is pretty slow so I most likely won’t be able to pick these up… Good luck to you if you’re trying to purchase this piece of sneaker history.
On Tuesday December 24th Foot Locker released a statement via twitter stating “Unfortunately, the Nike Air Yeezy will not be releasing via footlocker.com on Dec 27. We have no further updates at this time” This is sad news, will the Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” ever see the light of day? At this point Yeezy himself doesn’t have the answers!
You miss that old school New York sound!? You miss J Dilla!? You miss hip-hops “Golden Age”!? I’m going to assume you said yes to all of those questions. Even if you didn’t, it doesn’t matter because they were all rhetorical questions! Follow me and let’s take a journey into sound and indulge in some sonic stimulation by New York based music composer 1988. His latest offering “Music2Escape2” off of Dub Temple Records gives off a modernly vintage feel that oozes that classic boom-bap sound hip-hop heads reminisce over, yet fresh enough that you would love to listen to it today. I’ve had this tape on repeat for the last few days, and it takes me back to my childhood, and makes me wish I could rap. 1988 is definitely restoring the feeling! You can download and listen here
I really really really love my city!!! So, if any of my readers have yet to visit New York and would like to one day then you’re in luck! Well kind of. Let me explain, I have very and I do mean very recently taken an interest in the art of photography. I believe that pictures are the closest we will ever get to freezing time, so now every chance I get I pull out my iPhone and try to capture a moment by snapping a shot of various scenes in my city. For those of you who have yet to travel to the Big Apple, I will every so often post pictures I have taken to give you a taste of New York through the lens of a native New Yorker. Soon I will step up to a Canon but for now my iPhone will have to do.
